NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Police say they're searching for a driver following a crash in North Nashville that killed a woman.
The wreck happened late Monday night on Buchanan Street and 16th Avenue.
Metro Nashville police say the driver struck a utility pole at a high rate of speed. The woman was transported to Vanderbilt and pronounced dead.
Police say it is believed the woman was the passenger in the vehicle and the driver fled the scene.
