A suspect search got underway overnight after a man was seriously injured in a stabbing at a Nashville motel.
The incident happened around 1 a.m. Thursday in the parking lot of the Lee Motel on Murfreesboro Pike.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said a woman stabbed a man in the lower back.
He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with serious, possibly life-threatening injuries.
The motive for the stabbing remained unclear. The suspect’s name was not known.
This was the second incident this year in which a man was stabbed by a woman at the motel. In that January incident, the victim survived.
