MOUNT JULIET, Tenn. (WTVF) — World War II veteran, Max Anderson, will be spending his 100th birthday with the Mt. Juliet Police Department on Memorial Day as they escort him to his celebration.

The celebration will be held during the closing ceremony for the "Honoring Our American Flag" display at the Mt. Juliet Train Station. The event was organized by the local Exchange Club and American Legion.

The escort to the ceremony will begin at 1:30 p.m. near N. W. Rutland Road and travel northbound on Mt. Juliet Road to East Division Street.

Police are asking the community to stand along the escort route to show their support for Anderson and his wife Flossie, as well as all of the country's veterans.
