Nashville yogis may be paying more for yoga classes starting Wednesday.

NewsChannel 5 started receiving questions from viewers after several studios sent emails to clients, saying they will be charged a 9.25 percent sales tax starting August 1.

The emails and posts say the fee is due to a state law. While this is a new charge -- this isn't a new law.

Sen. Mark Norris and the late-Rep. Ron Lollar co-sponsored a bill this year to do away with this type of tax but it didn't pass.
