YOSHI Fuel Delivery Service Could Make Gas Stations A Thing Of The Past

We use our smart phones to buy just about everything. So why not fuel? Now there's YOSHI, a company that says gas stations could be a thing of the past.

It's a concept so simple, you'll wonder why you didn't think of it first.

"The first gas station was invented in 1910 and since then very little has changed. So our idea was could we create a service that brings the gas directly to you," said co-founder & COO Bryan Frist.

A Nashville native, Frist first launched the service in California.

"So we started in San Francisco Bay, actually in Palo Alto. And since then we’ve grown. Our second market was Nashville.

Now he's busy growing the business locally, with a fleet of vehicles complete with Music City names like "Garth."

Frist says just by downloading their app, you'll save yourself from that dreaded moment when you need a gas station and you either can't find one or just don't want to stop.

YOSHI delivers gas, oil changes, car washes and anything else your car needs all while it’s parked so you can keep on moving. Just send YOSHI your location and a technician will show up at home or at work.

"You’ll get a text in the morning that we’re coming by. You just leave [the gas tank] slightly popped and then our field technicians when they’re done close it and you’re good to go," he said.

The service is doing so well, Exxon Mobil and General Motors Ventures both recently invested in the company.

And what about those drivers who love to shop around for the best price?

"So the gas is either AAA average or below. We actually are about to launch a new version of the app where as you add other services your price per gallon goes down," he said.
