NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Some local baseball players got the chance to feel like all-stars.

Players from Nashville's "Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities" program thought they were just getting to play on Lipscomb University's baseball diamond Thursday, but they were in for a surprise as hundreds of fans filled the stands to cheer them on!

The spectators were on campus for Lipscomb's IMPACT Week, and they decided to give the kids a "big league" experience complete with personalized signs supporting the teams and players.

"That is what we look for,” said Harold Douglas, RBI Nashville Coach. “I mean, that's what we need in our kids today. We need to have as much support as possible, and this right here is a phenomenal feeling for our ballplayers."

RBI Nashville was started back in 1996 to promote youth interest in baseball and to provide inner-city youth with opportunities to play, learn, and recognize their potential.
