Young Girl Hit By Vehicle Not Long After Wheelchair Stolen

We brought you the story of a young girl in East Tennessee whose wheelchair was stolen out of her mother’s SUV.

The story struck a chord with many of our viewers, and her mother has now said that not long after it was stolen, her daughter, Kaylee, was hit by a car.

Kaylee has Osteochondromatosis and Chondrosarcoma. She has tumors in her legs, making it hard and painful for her to walk. When her wheelchair was stolen, it made it difficult for her to get around.

She is okay following the accident that came later, but it did cause a tumor to rupture.

Her mother said they will be heading to Vanderbilt University Medical Center this week for treatment.
