Some future pilots got a jump-start on their careers at a special event.
In honor of Girls in Aviation Day, girls ages eight to 18 had a chance to learn about jobs in aviation at the Nashville International Airport on Saturday.
There were stations about all aspects of the industry, including flying, engineering, and business management.
The event was coordinated by Women in Aviation International, and participants said it was a great resource for local girls.
“It’s just a way to give back and teach young girls what is out there, so when they are searching for their careers, they've got information,” said Deborah Baugh, of Women in Aviation International.
Each girl left with a bag full of information on possible aviation careers.
