NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A wish came true for one of NewsChannel 5's youngest viewers.
Sophie Taylor is recovering from a heart transplant. She met NewsChannel 5's Jennifer Kraus during the telethon of Hope and Healing at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
Sophie asked about NewsChannel 5 Traffic Anchor Rebecca Schleicher, saying her wish was to meet her. Even though it wasn't an official "Make a Wish" surprise, Vanderbilt officials and NewsChannel 5 partnered to make sure Sophie's wish came true.
She got to spend the day with Rebecca at the Ronald McDonald Playhouse here in Nashville playing games and having fun.
