FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WTVF) — The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating after a deadly crash in a construction zone.
It happened on I-840 East near I-65 around midnight and shut down the interstate for four hours overnight.
Investigators believe the victim was driving at a high rate of speed when he crashed into the back of a construction truck. His truck ricocheted into the middle of the interstate. He died at the scene.
No construction workers were hurt. The interstate reopened just after 4 a.m. THP has not identified the victim.
