September 23-29 is Child Passenger Safety Awareness Week.

Motor vehicle crashes are the #1 cause of child deaths for ages 1-17 years (nationally and in TN).

The Tennessee rate of child motor vehicle-related deaths is consistently above the national rate (3.6 per 100,000 population in Tennessee vs. 3.2 nationally in 2015)
