WTVF-NASHVILLE — Has Teen Vaping become a public health crisis?
Today JUUL, the leading E-Cigarette brand announced announced they would no longer be selling several flavored products in the United States. The company will continue to sell Menthol, Mint, and tobacco flavors.
This comes after a number of vape related illness deaths across the country. Advocates have called for a ban to these flavored products as they cater to young adults and kids.
The Tennessee Health department reported the vaping death of an adult male this morning. It is the first vaping related death in state.
Dr. Jacob Kaslow, a Vanderbilt Pediatric Pulmonologist believes this is a "Public Health Emergency", and will joined Carrie Sharp on OpenLine to discuss what he's been seeing in the hospital.
