WTVF-NASHVILLE — Should Nashville put an end to using Private Prisons?
In January 2020, Metro's contract with for profit prison company CoreCivic, who currently oversees the Metro Detention Facility, is up for reevaluation.
Freddie O'Connell stated "It is now time for Nashville to weigh the moral costs of continued operation of MDF against the fiscal cost of public operation,". He joined Ben Hall on OpenLine to discuss what the city should do next.
