WTVF-NASHVILLE — On this edition of OpenLine we'll discuss the delays in the construction of the MLS Stadium at the Nashville Fairgrounds. Demolition was scheduled to begin in October of 2019, but Mayor Cooper's challenging of the deal, and an ongoing lawsuit by the Save our Fairgrounds organization has caused some hurdles to it's progress.
We'll also discuss what aspects of the deal are causing an impasse, what is the status of the lawsuit against the city, and how a failure to reach a deal will affect future business in Nashville?
Nashville Fairgrounds Board Member Caleb Hemmer, and Metro Councilman Colby Sledge join Carrie Sharp on OpenLine for this discussion.
