According to research conducted by AARP, nearly 90 percent of seniors want to stay in their own homes as they age. On today’s show, we are addressing the topic of “aging in place” and exploring resources to assist seniors with safely staying in their homes longer.
The desire to stay at home by the baby boomer generation has given birth to Certified Aging in Place Specialists or CAPS. A CAPS certified professional has been trained on the unique needs of seniors, modifying homes so someone can live there longer as they age and addressing the most common barriers in a home.
