If Chick-fil-A tops your list of favorite fast-food joints, Sam’s Club has a new treat you’re sure to love: Member’s Mark Southern Style Spicy Chicken Sandwiches.
While the warehouse club doesn’t exactly say their new sandwiches taste like Chick-fil-A’s, the description suggests skipping the drive-thru and making them at home “even on Sundays,” a nod to the fact that the fast-food chain is closed on Sundays.
Made with a chicken breast fillet and breaded with a dill pickle-flavored batter, the chicken also has “a kick” of cayenne for a savory, but mildly spicy flavor. Sam’s Club says on a scale of 1 to 3, with three the spiciest, the sandwich is a one.
Each bag is more than 4 pounds and contains 10 fully-cooked and ready-to-heat sandwiches (buns included), for $15.98, or just $1.60 per sandwich. They can be heated in the microwave if you’re short on time, but Sam’s Club recommends an air fryer for straight-from-the-fryer crispiness.
The new spicy chicken sandwich is the latest edition to the Member’s Mark Southern Style line, which also includes a handful of other items like a regular chicken sandwich and waffle fries.
The chicken sandwich features the same dill-flavored breaded chicken as the spicy sandwich, just without the heat. The waffle fries are made with Grade A potatoes and are ready in under 30 minutes in the oven or 15 minutes in an air fryer.
You can also buy Southern Style chicken bites at Sam’s Club, which are made with solid white meat chicken.
The nuggets are covered with a light, crispy breading that, like the other chicken items, has a hint of dill for a touch of pickle flavor.
Of course, if you don’t have a Chick-Fil-A or a Sam’s Club near you, you instead could try your hand at following this copycat recipe for Chick-fil-A’s nuggets at home in your own kitchen.
Aside from chicken and other obvious ingredients like an egg, milk and flour, you’ll also need dill pickle juice, powdered sugar and peanut oil. Fry them in a non-stick pan or, if you really want a crispy nugget, cook them in an electric deep fryer.
Will you be heading to Sam’s Club to pick up their new spicy chicken sandwiches or any other items from their Southern Style line?
