Blue Raiders Looking To Follow Up Bowl Season

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) - Middle Tennessee coach Rick Stockstill can quickly name the six different Blue Raiders he lost to the NFL, including a defensive lineman drafted by the Seattle Seahawks. The list includes two starting cornerbacks, an offensive guard, a tight end and a quarterback.

That means someone is going to have to step up quickly for the Blue Raiders to have a shot at their third bowl game in four seasons.

Stockstill said a coach hopes he's recruited someone who has matured and developed enough to replace a guy that graduated. He knows everyone will be talking about replacing quarterback Logan Kilgore but he's just as worried about finding a new defensive lineman like Jimmy Staten.

He has 12 starters back from a team that went 8-5 last season.
