Brian Orakpo, a native of Houston and linebacker for the Tennessee Titans, has teamed up with the Titans to host a donation drive for families displaced by Hurricane Harvey.
The Brian Orakpo Foundation and the Titans have joined forces with the Austin Disaster Relief Fund to collect items and donations.
Those with the drive said all donations have been set to go directly to the Austin Disaster Relief Fund, a nonprofit organization currently giving shelter to Texans displaced by the storm.
If you’d like to donate, the drive has been scheduled to last all weekend, through Monday, September 4. They will be accepting donations each day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Lot C of Nissan Stadium.
Orakpo and his family were at that location at 11 a.m. Saturday.
The following items have been needed:
- Air Mattresses
- New undergarments (all sizes, children and adult)
- New socks (all sizes, children and adult)
- Toiletries (ie: shampoo, face wash, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc.)
- New bed pillows
- New blankets
- Cleanup supplies
- Black trash bags
- Mops and buckets
- Utility knives
- Leather work gloves
- Inflatable mattresses
- Hand sanitizer
- Box fans
- Baby Bottles
- Baby Formula
- Baby Diapers
