More than 200 volunteers from KaBoom and the Nashville Predators Foundation built a playground for KIPP Nashville College Prep.

The playground was designed using children's drawings from a special event in August.

Volunteers moved more than 1,200 square feet of mulch and built the playground in one day!

"It's so great for the end of the day. The kids get to do their school day and then they come out and they get to do the ribbon cutting, and you get to see the smiles on their faces,” Kristen Laviolette said. “We know we're making a difference in their lives for years to come for them to have lots of joy on this beautiful playground we're building today."

KIPP’s playground marked the seventh one the Nashville Predators and Kaboom have built in six years.
