Nissan Stadium and Bridgestone Arena have gone under the microscope.
Thursday morning, the Metro Nashville Sports Authority approved a proposal to hire a facility management firm in Brentwood to assess the condition of the nearly 20-year-old facilities.
Right now, the needs of Nissan Stadium have been costing more than the city's annual $1 million contribution.
To help anticipate the cost of future projects, the Venue Solutions Group has been set to study what upgrades, repairs, and other work the venues will need in the coming years.
Money left over after replacing seats at Nissan and Bridgestone surplus revenue will be used to fund the $400,000 assessment.
A final report has been expected to come out in March.
