NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The Ohio Valley Conference make the decision to cancel all intercollegiate competitions through the end of the 2019-2020 school year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Board of Presidents made the announcement on Monday, which includes suspending all team practices until April 3 at the earliest.
Student-athletes will not be allowed to engage in strength and conditioning or training room activities during this time.
"The main priority of the OVC is to ensure the health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches, administrators and fans," the OVC said in a press release. "The league will continue to monitor all relevant information on COVID-19 on a daily basis."
