Get your passports ready!

Inspired by this summer’s Olympic games, Frito-Lay is bringing flavors from around the world to a grocery store near you—in chip form. So get your international taste buds ready for: Brazilian Picanha, Chinese Szechuan Chicken, Greek Tzatziki and Indian Tikka Masala.

According to Frito-Lay, a recent Mintel study showed “three out of five people feel they have become more adventurous when it comes to trying ethnic cuisines.” Frito-Lay wants to be the gateway to this culinary adventure.

“While most of us can’t just hop on a plane, all of us can travel through our taste buds,” said Jeannie Cho, vice president of Frito-Lay marketing. “The Passport to Flavor program invites consumers to try four delicious new global flavors.”

While I don’t think eating a hot steaming bowl of Szechuan Chicken is the same as eating a bag of chips sprinkled with its flavors—who knows? Perhaps this very American idea of chips as the gateway for culinary enlightenment will actually inspire consumers to become more adventurous when it comes to trying ethnic cuisines.

Look to be inspired by these chips starting July 25.
