KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — University of Tennessee Athletic Director Phillip Fulmer has tested positive for COVID-19.
Fulmer revealed the news Friday morning in a statement, saying he learned of the positive test on Thursday. He said a second test also came back positive.

“I remain asymptomatic at this point, I am feeling fine and will continue to work remotely while adhering to CDC and local health guidelines,” Fulmer said in part.
Fulmer, who coached the Vols' 1998 BCS National Championship winning team, added that he has not been deemed a close contact of any student athlete or sports staff member.
