Brenda Willis founder of the Music City Irish Fest made Irish Soda Bread and talked about the cancellation of the 2020 Festival. Music City Irish Fest merchandise along with #TN Strong bracelets are now on sale at Proceeds go to benefit Middle Tennessee tornado relief efforts.



1 cup of plumped raisins (plump raisins in boiling water, drain and dry using paper towels)
1 cup of sugar
1 stick of softened butter
4 cups of flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 cups of buttermilk


Knead the butter into the dry mix of flour, baking soda, salt and baking powder.
Mix in plumped raisins and then add sugar.
Mix in buttermilk.
Place in two well-greased bread pans.
Bake approximately 50 minutes at 350 degrees until golden brown and knife inserted in center comes out clean.
