Terra James-Jura made Gray & Dudley’s September "cocktail for a cause" , and another cocktail recipe from their fall menu. (see recipes below) Gray & Dudley is offering a “cocktail for a cause” each month benefiting a different local charity or non-profit. September’s "Black Manhattan" cocktail will benefit the Nashville Public Library. Gray & Dudley is located in Downtown Nashville inside the 21c Museum Hotel, 221 2nd Ave N, Nashville, TN 37201. NEVER LOSE A FEATHER
1 oz Del Maguey Vida Mezcal
1/2 oz Smith and Cross Rum
1 barspoon Ancho Verde
1 oz pumpkin purée
1 oz Coco Lopez
1/2 oz lemon juice
¼ oz Demerara syrup
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Shake, strain over ice into a rocks glass and top with grated nutmeg.
BLACK MANHATTAN
1.5 ounces Old Forester Signature 100 proof Bourbon
.5 ounces Averna Amaro
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Stir ingredients and strain over a large ice cube in an Old Fashioned glass. Garnish with a lemon peel.
