Pastry for single crust(9-inch)
4 large eggs
11/2 cups half and half cream
1 cup mashed cooked butternut squash
1 cup cooked pumpkin ( I use pumpkin pie filling)
1/2 cup honey
1 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
Assemble ingredients and utensils. In a large bowl,whisk the ,eggs, cream,squash, pumpkin, honey,flour .salt and all the spices.
Mix well. Pour into pie crust. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 50-60 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. If pie crust begins to brown too much around the edge,cover with foil to prevent pie crust from getting too dark. Yield: 6 servings.
