Franklin TN's McLemore House Museum

Franklin's First Black Expo is Saturday, August 18 from 9am-5pm at Johnson Elementary School, 815 Glass Lane, Franklin, TN. The expo will feature local choirs, vendors, Greek steppers, kids activities, youth fashion, soul food and more. There will also be celebrity guests including NewsChannel5 Senior Meteorologist Lelan Statom. Hosted by the African American Heritage Society of Williamson County, proceeds from the event will sustain the preservation of the McLemore House Museum. The McLemore House Museum is a project of the African-American Heritage Society, a non-profit organization whose purpose is to collect, preserve, and interpret artifacts pertaining to Williamson County African American culture and increase understanding and appreciation of our heritage for future generations.
