Meryll and Lelan took us the annual Hot Chicken Festival Cooking Contest to crown Nashville’s best amateur hot chicken cook. The Hot Chicken Festival will happen at different, socially distanced locations this year. Festival organizers are encouraging Nashvillians to visit a Hot Chicken establishment on July 4, unless you are sick or have come in close contact with people who are sick. In all cases everyone should wear a mask and wash your hands often. More information can be found at our social media handles: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/officialhotchicken/?hl=en, Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MusicCityHotChickenFestival, the new Twitter account: https://twitter.com/HotChicken_Fest and at www.hot-chicken.com. The event benefits the Friends of Shelby Park and Bottoms, but it has the added benefit of supporting Hot Chicken establishments that have been an important part of building entrepreneurship in our city.
