Strawberry Brownies

1 box strawberry cake mix ( I use Duncan Hines)
2 eggs
1/3 c oil

Glaze

1 c confectioners sugar
1-2 T water or milk

Assemble ingredients and utensils. Line an 8-inch square pan with parchment paper and spray with Pam. In a medium bowl, mix cake mix, eggs and oil with a hand mixer until well combined. Spread batter evenly into the pan. Bake for 15 minutes in a 350 degree oven or until just set. Be careful not to overbake. Allow brownies to cool for 10 minutes. Meanwhile,  combine the sugar and water or milk until smooth. Pour glaze over brownies, spreading to the edges so glaze drips down the sides. Allow to cool before cutting.
Yield: 6-9 servings

The brownies are also delicious topped with a Cream Cheese Frosting. If you choose to top with the frosting, follow the same directions above, but do not add the glaze.

Cream Cheese Frosting

1/2 c butter, softened
1 lb box confectioners sugar
1 8-oz package cream cheese, softened
1 t vanilla extract

In a large bowl mix the ingredients together and spread over the cooled brownies.
