Cornbread Recipe
4 cups self-rising corn meal
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 eggs
1/2 cup oil
5 cups buttermilk
1 cup sugar-optional
Mix all ingredients and put in a greased 9x13 pan and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes until firm to the touch.
Dressing Recipe
One 9x13 pan of cornbread
2 cups onion-finely chopped
1 cup celery-finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 1/2 teaspoon dried sage or 2 tablespoons chopped fresh sage
1 teaspoon salt
4 to 5 cups chicken stock
Crumble cornbread and mix all ingredients together. Place in a greased 9x13 pan and bake at 350 degrees for one hour or until firm to the touch.
