Liz Madaris from Natchez Hills Winery made Sunset Blush Frozé, a frozen cocktail made with rosé wine, to celebrate #NationalRoséDay on June 9. (see recipe below) Sunset Blush Rosé can be purchased online at www.natchezhills.com or at any of the winery’s three tasting rooms. Natchez Hills operates tasting rooms at The Nashville Farmers’ Market and Fontanel, as well as at the winery. At all three of Natchez Hills’ tasting rooms, guests can enjoy guided wine tastings. Wine Flights are also available, to enjoy a tasting from the comfort of your table. Wine Tastings are $6 to taste 5 wines. No advanced reservations required for parties of 8 or less. Sunset Blush Frozé
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 bottle chilled Sunset Blush Rosé
- 2 cups frozen strawberries, stems removed
- ¼ cup Pickers Vodka
- ¼ Cup fresh lemon juice
- 2-4 cups of ice
DIRECTIONS:
- In a blender, combine ½ bottle of Sunset Blush Rosé with ½ the frozen strawberries, ½ the vodka and ½ the lemon juice
- Add 2 cups of ice and blend
- If the mixture is too watery, add more ice and continue blending
- Repeat process with remaining ingredients
- Serve and garnish with fresh strawberries
