Authorities confirmed debris had slowed traffic on Interstate 40 in Nashville.
The debris was reported just before 9 a.m. Thursday in the eastbound lanes near Exit 209A for Church Street.
According to those with the Tennessee Department of Transportation, eastbound traffic was shut down. Westbound drivers were not affected.
Crews estimated the roadway would be cleared by 10 a.m.
