A rollover crash backed up traffic for a while on Interstate 440.
The wreck happened Sunday afternoon near 21st Avenue South.
Authorities said the car appeared to have veered off the road, hit a tree, and flipped.
Officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department said one person was pinned in the crash, but the extent of any injuries involved was unknown.
No further details were released.
