35-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot At Hermitage Condo

HERMITAGE, Tenn. – A 35-year-old man was killed overnight in an apparent prescription drug-related shooting inside the garage of his Davidson County residence.

The incident happened Sunday night on Rockwood Drive in Hermitage.

Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said the victim has been identified as Michael T. Larson. He was reportedly in the garage of his condo when witnesses reported hearing three gunshots.

When family members came outside, they found Larson lying in the garage with several gunshots wounds to the stomach and chest. His .22 caliber rifle was found nearby. 

Larson was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. 

Authorities have not released any suspect information. Police said the incident appeared to be related to prescription drugs. 

Officers were on the scene for several hours and used flashlights to search for evidence.
