NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The homeless camp at Fort Negley Park has become one step closer to being gone.

Metro Parks Police said they wanted to clear it out because of complaints about petty crimes and trash.

Around 50 people have been living there, and they’ve been told they have the weekend to move out.

Metro Parks Police said the mayor's office and other groups like Open Table have been stepping in to help some camp residents find a permanent home.
