NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police have been searching for the suspect who opened fire on another man in a parking lots at a north Nashville apartment complex.

The shooting happened late Sunday around 10:45 p.m. in the Village on the Green apartments off of Ed Temple Road.

Authorities said the victim was sitting in his car in the parking lot when the unknown gunman walked up.
For some reason the shooter opened fire. The victim was hit in the head and the torso.

He was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Police said the victim was not seriously hurt because the bullets just grazed him.

The gunman ran away from the scene.

Officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department were able to use K-9 units to get somewhat of a track, but they could not find the suspect.

The search has been difficult because officials said the victim was not cooperating with investigators.

They did have a vague description of the suspect, and said that was at least helping them get closer to an arrest.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-74-CRIME (615-742-7463).
