MULBERRY, Tenn. – Officials have released the identity of the pilot of a small plane who died in a crash in a remote part of Lincoln County.
The victim was identified by authorities as 46-year-old Linda Bauman, of Belvidere.
Those with the Federal Aviation Administration said the Cessna 182 crashed around 2 p.m. Sunday due to unknown circumstances. The crash was discovered Monday morning at a private farm south of Highway 50 near the community of Mulberry, about half way between Lynchburg and Fayetteville.
Officials said the scene was off Steelman Road, about a mile from the Moore County line.
