HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A Hopkinsville man was charged with robbery and police said he attempted to run over two people trying to stop him.
Officials said 46-year-old Robert Tedder took several items from a Marathon gas station Sunday morning, including six pairs of sunglasses, a tire gauge and two air fresheners.
A police report said as Tedder fled, a clerk and another person tried to stop him and Tedder tried to hit them with his vehicle.
Tedder was arrested at his home after getting away before police arrived.
The total value of the items stolen was $121.79.
It was unclear if Tedder has a lawyer.
