MCMINNVILLE, Tenn. – A pregnant mother and her infant daughter were found deceased inside their Warren County residence.
Officials on the scene confirmed 25-year-old Marisha Drake was found deceased Wednesday afternoon inside their McMinnville apartment.
A maintenance worker called police after finding her body around 3: 30 p.m. They didn't realize the infant was deceased until authorities arrived on the scene.
Drake was discovered on the sofa, while the child's body was found in a bedroom. They apparently passed away at different times.
Preliminary information indicated they had been dead for at least four to five days before they were found.
According to authorities, Drake was eight months pregnant at the time. She apparently had three other children. A friend of the victim said they have been placed into state custody.
Detectives said foul play was not suspected. No additional details were known.
