NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A 17-year-old suspect was injured after he was shot by a man he allegedly tried to rob.

The incident happened shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday on Lafayette Street in Nashville.

Officials with Metro Police said 74-year-old Larry Claybaker was sitting in his car when he was approached by two suspects, described as African American teens.

Claybaker had a valid handgun carry permit. No charges were filed against him.
