MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - A Murfreesboro man had an important message to share with the public after he was carjacked at gunpoint.

Ken Hughes said he wanted everyone to know the importance of being aware of your surroundings and paying attention to your gut feelings.

What happened to him doesn't happen every day, but Hughes hoped his story keeps it from happening again.

Murfreesboro Police had not yet made an arrest. Anyone with information was urged to contact police.
