The ’90s throwback Viennetta combines a wavy frozen vanilla base between crispy, decadent chocolate layers. While it’s obviously been a long time since I’ve had one, I distinctly remember the crunch sound the cake makes when you dig into the crispy chocolate layers, which are pretty much like the coating of an ice cream bar.
The cake, which is pretty enough to be used at a celebration but also a simple barbecue or even just after dinner, will be available at major retailers nationwide beginning this month for around $5.49.
If you love chocolate, Breyers is adding several new chocolate products to their lineup, including chocolate pretzel swirl and double chocolate brownie batter ice creams and Breyers Reese’s peanut Butter Snack Cups, which feature creamy peanut butter ice cream mixed with real Reese’s peanut butter cups.
There’s also a new seasonal flavor, Breyers coconut fudge breeze, which will hit stores in March and will be around until the end of summer. You’ll also find a few non-dairy offerings (made with almond milk), like mint chocolate chip and chocolate chocolate chip, plus three new pint-sized CarbSmart flavors including chocolate chocolate chip, mint chip and coffee cookie crunch.
If gelato is more your thing, Talenti is also adding new flavors to try, including confetti cookie, strawberry shortcake, cookies and cream, chocolate pretzel, honey graham and peanut butter vanilla swirl.
You’ll also find new ice cream truffle bars from Magnum Ice Cream in three flavors: mini dark chocolate truffle, mini berry truffle, double chocolate vanilla truffle and double red velvet.
The classic Klondike bar treat is even getting a makeover this year with a new addition to the Klondike Donuts lineup: Klondike Wake Me Up Coffee. The new coffee-flavored Klondike features dark chocolate hardshell with a white confectionary drizzle and a frozen coffee flavor made with 100% Arabica Colombian coffee.
