Todd Walker joined the NewsChannel 5 team in August 2013.

He comes to Nashville from KUSA in Denver, CO. During his time there he covered the aftermath of the Aurora theater shooting and from the front lines of devastating wildfires.

Todd started working in news right out of high school, so he'd rather not count the years he's been in the business now.

As a journalist, Todd's work has taken him to the farthest corners of the earth. In April 2012, Todd embedded with US troops in Afghanistan to give viewers a first-hand look at the daily life and dangers soldiers faced in the War on Terror. He started, and has spent the majority of his career in his adopted hometown of Anchorage, AK. In the Last Frontier, Todd covered the Iditarod sled dog race, the Iron Dog snow mobile race and the rise of then little-known politician Sarah Palin.

Todd grew up an Army brat, and was born just outside of Fort Campbell, KY. His family moved only a few months after he was born, but life has oddly come full-circle with his return to Middle Tennessee.

Todd is a self-proclaimed beer snob, so when he's not at work you can find him trying out local brews and exploring his new home.

If you have a story idea, or heck even a new local beer he should try, email Todd at twalker@newschannel5.com
