Cyndi Lauper has announced she will be releasing a country album called “Detour.”
The pop icon, who is best known for her song, “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” made the announcement Tuesday morning.
The new album has included the familiar voice of Vince Gill with her on the title track.
Lauper said she always looked up to Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn for musical inspiration.
“Detour” will be available in May.
