This Music City Must had me meowing for days. It’s the very first “cat café” to come to Nashville, and it’s called “Mewsic Kitty Café.” This is not your traditional café. There are trendy cafés and coffee shops all over Nashville, but this place is absolutely purrrrrfect (sorry I had to) because not only do you get to hang out with free roaming cats, but these cats are all adoptable!
All you have to do is book your reservation in the cat lounge for a "meet and greet." Walk-ins are welcome, but booking ahead is highly recommended due to the popularity of this place! Next, read your email confirmation for “paw-some” (cat pun #2… sorry again) details on parking, etc. Then, arrive 10 minutes early for your reservation and complete your waiver. You will give your waiver to a Mewsic Kitty crew member and order a drink or treat at the bar – remember it’s still a café after all! Finally, enjoy yourself and pet all the cats!
Kitty Café is partnered with the Nashville Cat Rescue. Owner Maegan Phan says it’s the best way to really see the cat’s personalities in a way you wouldn’t in another adoption environment. This is basically their living room, and man are these felines feeling at home. Maybe the décor had something to do with that! From the minute you walk in you’ll see what I mean. They totally went all in when embracing the “Cats and Music City” theme! You’ll find drums and guitar bases used as beds, and even the puns on famous musician’s names like “Paw (Paul) Simon” and “Kitty (Emmie) Lou Hair-is!” If you need a little extra “cat therapy” just attend one of Mewsic Kitty Café’s movie nights or yoga sessions! You’ll be lint rolling for days and loving it. For adoption fees and a full list of the menu items at Music Kitty Café, just click this link: https://www.mewsickittycafe.com/
