Grocery shoppers, rejoice! Amazon has dropped the price of 13 items now that it's running the ship at Whole Foods following last week's acquisition. "Whole Foods Market will offer lower prices starting Monday on a selection of best-selling grocery staples across its stores, with more to come," Amazon said in a statement on Friday, according to CNN. Those promised price drops are now here, and here's what the change looks like in dollars and cents, according to Food & Wine:
Organic avocados
Organic avocados went from $2.99 to $1.99 (per avocado).
Organic large brown eggs
Organic large brown eggs went from $4.29 to $3.99 (for a dozen).
Organic, responsibly-farmed salmon
Organic, responsibly-farmed salmon went from $10.49 to $9.99 (per pound).
Organic baby kale
Organic baby kale went from $3.99 to $3.49 (for five ounces).
Organic baby lettuce
Organic baby lettuce went from $3.99 to $3.49 (for five ounces).
Organic Gala apples
Organic Gala apples dropped from $2.99 to $1.99 (per pound).
Organic Fuji apples
Organic Fuji apples went from $3.49 to $1.99 (per pound).
Organic rotisserie chicken
Organic rotisserie chicken dropped from $13.99 to $9.99 (per chicken).
Whole trade bananas
Whole-trade bananas went from between $.79 and $.99 to $.49 and $.69 (per pound).
Almond butter
Almond butter dropped from $7.99 to $6.99 (for 12 ounces).
Everyday Value organic butter
Organic butter went from $5.29 to $4.49 (per pound). 
Those price drops are all good news for consumers, but that's not all. Soon, Whole Foods shoppers will also be able to pick up or return their online Amazon orders at "lockers" located in some stores, making it easier for those without drop-off addresses to online shop. Amazon customers will also be able to shop Whole Foods' products—including the usual Whole Foods Market, 365, Whole Paws and Whole Catch—via Amazon and Prime Now, making grocery shopping easier than ever. So far, the merging of two shopping powers has been quite interesting, and I'm curious to see where Amazon takes Whole Foods next. Hopefully, it'll continue this whole price-dropping trend, because customers are definitely enjoying that.
