The Metro Public Health Department wanted to make sure people are prepared for any emergency.
They held a Preparedness Day event in Centennial Park on Sunday.
Around 500 people were given backpacks at the event.
The goal was to make sure everyone has a plan and emergency supplies ready to take in case of an unexpected event such as a fire, tornado, flood, illness, or act of terrorism.
