Two suspects were arrested in connection with a fatal shooting south of downtown Nashville.

Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said on Friday that the incident happened Monday in the Napier-Sudekum neighborhood in the 900 block of 1st Avenue South.

According to reports, 22-year-old Lemonderius Goodner has been arrested in the case.

A second suspect, 23-year-old Charles Fleming III, was wanted Friday morning. He was taken into custody Friday afternoon while he was at the courthouse for a separate reason.

Police said the two have been charged with murder in the fatal shooting of 32-year-old Carlos Moran.

According to a witness, Moran was held down while the suspects went through his pockets.

Moran was then shot. Officials said he was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he passed away on Thursday.

An investigation led detectives to Goodner and Fleming. It's believed one other person, who has not yet been identified, may also be involved.
