1 Arrested, 1 Injured In Shooting At Nightclub

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A man has been arrested after an early morning shooting in Montgomery County.

Police were called to the scene in the 1100 block of Fort Campbell Boulevard just after 4 a.m. Sunday.

Authorities said there were still around two dozen people at the La Mansion Club where the shooting allegedly occurred.

One Hispanic man was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition after being shot in the chest inside the nightclub. His identity was not released.

After following several leads, an arrest was made on Darlene Drive around 10:26 a.m. Sunday.

Wilfredo Torres, age 28, was charged with aggravated assault and was being held on a $175,000 bond.

Authorities said the motive for the shooting had not been released. The investigation was ongoing.
