Police easily nabbed a man who initially said he broke into a Bellevue restaurant because he needed a nap.
Authorities responded to an alarm around 2:30 a.m. Friday at the PDK Restaurant on Sawyer Brown Road.
When they arrived at the scene, they found Shawn Gastinger inside, and he claimed he was an employee.
Later in the morning, a manager called police to report Gastinger was sleeping in an SUV by the restaurant.
Officers returned to find Gastinger in the SUV with more than $3,300, marijuana, and pills.
Gastinger ended up admitting to police he broke into the restaurant and stole the money. He's now facing burglary and drug charges.
